Privacy Policy

Venice Airport Waterbus ("the App") is developed by Andrea Toffanello as an independent project. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the App.

Data We Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• No account or registration is required.
• No personal information (name, email, phone number) is collected.
• No location data is collected or stored. The map and "nearest stop" features use your device's location only locally and never send it to any server.
• No usage analytics or tracking tools are integrated.
• No cookies or similar technologies are used.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores your preferences (language, disclaimer acknowledgment) locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services to deliver its core functionality:

• Routing API (TransitKit, MOTIS-based) — when you use the journey planner, the App sends an anonymous request containing your selected origin, destination and departure time to api.transitkit.app to compute itineraries. No personal identifier is sent.
• Map rendering — on iOS the App uses Apple MapKit; on Android the App uses the Mapbox Maps SDK, which may collect anonymized telemetry data (such as map tile requests) in accordance with the Mapbox privacy policy. No personal data is shared with the map providers by the App.

Schedule Data

Waterbus schedules are based on publicly available GTFS data from Alilaguna and are bundled within the App. No server connection is required to view schedules.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected, COPPA and similar regulations are inherently satisfied.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
